Step 1: Submit your NOIM.
I’ll walk you through the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM), the one form that must be lodged at least one month before your wedding. It’s best to lodge it sooner. I’ll also explain what documents you’ll need, the legal wording we must include on the day, and how it all comes together.
Step 2: We catch up.
I will begin building your ceremony structure with you after our chat (and we’ll throw in a few golden insights from my custom ceremony questionnaire). The most challenging and rewarding part is crafting a ceremony that refl ects your personality, values, humour, and story. I’ll guide you through each point without making it feel too bureaucratic.
Step 3: We make it official.
On the day, I will arrive early to connect with your vendors and set the tone. I deliver your ceremony with all the heart, humour, and presence you expect from a professional, making sure the required legal wording blends smoothly into the story we’ve built.
You exchange legal vows and can include your own. You sign your certificates (three of them). And after the ceremony, I will register your marriage. You receive your marriage certificate via post.

As an authorised celebrant, I guide you through the legal process of getting married, make sure all your documents are correct, and deliver your ceremony on the day. Depending on the package you choose, I either provide a short legal ceremony or a fully personalised experience with storytelling, structure, and emotional connection.
A legals-only ceremony covers the legal essentials with no customisation. It runs for around 10 to 15 minutes and includes the minimum legal wording and signing of documents. It can take place in your home, backyard, or a quiet location with two witnesses. A full ceremony includes everything you would expect from a personalised wedding experience, your story, your tone, your vows, readings, rituals, and vendor coordination. It’s crafted to reflect who you are and how you want your day to feel.
Yes, absolutely! if you choose the full ceremony experience. I will guide you through writing vows that feel personal and meaningful. For legals-only ceremonies, you are required to say one specific legal sentence, and additional vows are not included as part of that package.
The key form is the Notice of Intended Marriage, or NOIM. It must be lodged at least one month before your wedding day. You’ll also need to show ID such as a passport or birth certificate, and if you were previously married, proof that the previous marriage has legally ended. I help you with all of this from the first meeting.
Yes. I must say the legal Monitum during your ceremony, which explains the legal definition of marriage in Australia. You must also each say one legal sentence to each other to make the marriage valid. These are required by law, no matter which package you choose.
Yes. You will need two witnesses who are over 18 years old to attend your ceremony. This applies to all types of weddings, including legals-only ceremonies.
Yes. After the ceremony, I lodge your documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages. I also provide guidance on how to order your official certificate, which will be mailed to you. On the day, you’ll receive a commemorative certificate as part of the ceremony.
Yes. If you need to get married in less than one month, I can help you apply for a Shortening of Time through a prescribed authority. This requires valid reasons and supporting documents, and I’ll guide you through that process if needed.
Yes. My legals-only package is perfect for elopements or couples who want something intimate and efficient. I also off er weekday availability for both legal and full ceremonies.
